Aperture and Shutter Speed Homework:
1. A large aperture hole has a small f stop.
2. F 5.6 has a somewhat large aperture hole.
3. F in f stop refers to the word "focal".
4. To let in the least amount of light, set the aperture to the highest f stop number.
5. To let in the most amount of light, set the aperture to the lowest f stop number.
6. The parts far away from the camera, around 32 feet away, will be in focus with f 32.
7. At f 1.4, the immediate subject around 1.4 feet away is in focus.
8. To "freeze" something in motion, you would use a fast shutter speed.
9.To create an image blur, you would use a slow shutter speed.
10. If the shutter speed is at 1/25 (slow) you might need a tripod because the image would be especially sensitive to small camera movements.

Circles and Ovals Project: Roughs
Circles and Ovals Project: Final
A close up of a wine rack thing we have at home. There was actually a lot of circles on this, with teacups and semicircle tops, but this one was the coolest, and I love how bottles look in pictures.
Family Day Project: Roughs
Family Day Project: Final
An explanation on why I chose this picture to represent family; when we were younger, me and my brother would play video games together all the time, from Mario games to Animal Crossing. Not only that, but we would pore over cheat codes, reviews, and character wikipedia pages for hours on end. It was probably the closest we had ever been.
Shoe Ad Project: Final
Had a bit of trouble finding a gradient that didn't look kind of cheesy, especially since the product, mountain climbing gear, is normally portrayed in a really intense, serious light. But this one worked out okay, especially with the tall letters.
Pattern Project: Final
I like patterns that seem to stretch on forever..
Multi-Photo Collab Project: Night at the Opera
I went to see the Phantom of the Opera in Ohio with my family, loved seeing all the lights and intricate patterns, and ended up with tons of great pictures that I wanted to use as my theme: a night at the opera. The background is a gradient with a brush used to create the sheet music. Some contrast and hue changes were made to get the images to match up properly, but for the most part, I wanted to keep as much of the rich colour as possible. The fading in the corners was suggested by a friend, and it worked out nice, so I'll have to consider using the eraser tool more liberally than I had been.
